What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Described by The Times as “a viable alternative to cosmetic surgery,” the acupuncture facelift is the most recent non-invasive procedure to treat fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improving the overall appearance of the skin.

Based on the principles of Chinese Medicine, it helps the whole body to look and feel younger by addressing the underlying causes of aging. The use of acupuncture to slow the signs of aging began in China in the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD).

Studies published in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture showed that of 300 test cases who received facial rejuvenation acupuncture, 90% showed results after one course of treatments.

Benefits include:

  • Reduction in fine lines
  • Smoothing of deep lines
  • Fading age spots
  • Reduction in frown lines
  • Improved muscle tone
  • Firms sagging skin
  • Reduction in jowls
  • Lifts droopy eyes
  • Improved skin tone
  • Improves the brow line
  • Increases collagen and elastin production
  • Stimulates cell reproduction and growth
  • Slows down aging
  • Look and feel younger from the inside out
  • Reduction in puffiness and eye bags
  • A healthier more toned facial appearance
  • Look 5-15 years younger

How does it work?

The needles stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. It also increases blood flow and can balance out skin colour as well as maintain healthy skin and muscle tone. Microcirculation is improved in all areas of your face and you will begin to glow and radiate a more relaxed and vibrant appearance.

What sort of results can I expect to see?

Healthy non-smokers can expect to look 5-15 years younger. You may see an improvement after the first visit due to the increased blood flow to you skin. You should notice significant results after the 6th or 7th visit. Noticeable sagging in the skin takes a bit longer.

How long will the effects last?

To keep up the results you’ve achieved ongoing maintenance is helpful. After your first 12 visits, we recommend once a month for 3 months, then once every 2-3 months to keep you looking great and prolong your results for several years.
